03 A CONTEMPORARY HOMAGE TO MARK 75 YEARS OF PORSCHE.

It has been 75 years since Ferry Porsche built the sports car of his dreams and presented the Porsche 356 'No. 1'roadster to the world. It was the birth of a culture, an ambition, a way of thinking. And so we are now celebrating 75 years of "Driven by Dreams". A welcome opportunity to reflect on our history and celebrate all those who dream like we do. Who make their dreams come true and make the world a richer and more colourful place. Porsche Design is marking this special anniversary with the launch of the Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition, a special model strictly limited to 475 pieces.

04 THE DESIGN

The Chronograph I was the first timepiece developed by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1972 to mark the foundation of Porsche Design. The Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition pays homage to this historical model with lovingly designed, high-quality details. The dial in Black with White accents and modern Porsche Design logo including lettering as well as the bezel with tachymeter catch the eye just as effectively as a sports car from Zuffenhausen.

In addition, the chronograph is available with a Black leather strap and matching Black stitching. Both straps can be exchanged in no time at all thanks to the quick-change system.

06 SWISS MADE

The back of the chronograph also evokes memories of more than 7 decades of iconic sports car design: with a rotor in the shape of the 911 Fuchsfelge® (Fuchs wheel) including a Porsche emblem in colour. The Porsche Design calibre WERK 01.140 with day-date function and COSC certification is framed by a glass bead-blasted titanium back in the same colour as the case – developed and handcrafted in the Porsche watch factory in Solothurn, Switzerland.
