'For me, it was about creating a watch to match the car.' Like the first 911, the iconic Chronograph I was also designed by Prof. F. A. Porsche – and was the inspiration for this anniversary edition. The design principles for optimum readability have remained unchanged to this day. The chronograph thus combines the best of both worlds. So it only makes sense that the lightweight construction concept of the Porsche 911 S/T has been transferred to the chronograph case, which is made of lightweight titanium. The high-quality details of the dial and the bezel ring in Black echo the display instruments of the 911 S/T. The entire minute scale on the bezel ring recalls the tachometer look – including the '60' highlighted in Red to mark the anniversary. All other numbers, the day and the date complete the look in Phosphorous Green. The White stop-seconds hand matches the colour of the tachometer. Thanks to Superluminova luminous material, the chronograph's minute and hour hands tell you the time even in the dark. A printed gear shift pattern in Silver for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T and in Gold for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T Heritage underscores the close connection with the manually operated special model. The font of the letters H, M and S for hours, minutes and seconds is also derived directly from the gear shift pattern.

Protected behind a clear, sevenfold, anti-reflective sapphire crystal window, the movement is driven by a rotor with the look of the magnesium wheel – optionally in Brilliant Silver, Dark Silver (satin finish) or Black (satin finish). Ceramica (satin finish) and Brilliant Silver are the colours available for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T Heritage. The focus of attention is the rotor cap with the S/T graphic print in Brilliant Silver for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T or with the historic Porsche crest for the Heritage version. To make it clear that it is your vehicle and your chronograph, you will find your limited edition number laser-engraved on the back of the titanium case.

If you think about the function of an object, its form sometimes takes shape by itself. As a result, everything looks as if it is made from a single piece – even if it's made of leather. The leather straps reflect the lightweight construction concept of the 911 S/T, with a symmetrical hole pattern that dispenses with every unnecessary milligram. This is how traditional craftsmanship is combined with modern motorsport technology. The vehicle leather and interior thread used form even closer ties between the sports car and chronograph. The titanium strap, including the folding clasp with the laser-engraved Porsche Design logo, consistently echoes the lightweight construction concept and minimises the power-to-weight ratio on your next fast lap. So the choice is anything but easy, but no matter which version you choose, you will always have the history of 60 years of the 911 on your wrist.
