    The Chronograph 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition has been designed exclusively for owners of the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition and its looks make reference to the origins of Porsche. More precisely, the legendary Porsche 356 and the style-defining Porsche 911 Targa. A number of design features from both iconic sports cars are not only found in the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition, but also in this very special – limited to just 992 units – Timepiece from Porsche Design.

    06 TURN BACK TIME.

    Time passes. But history can be repeated. For example, in the form of special 911 models that reinterpret design elements, colors and materials from Porsche vehicles of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

    The starting pistol is fired in the 50s and early 60s – with a special model inspired by the purism of that era, the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition. Porsche Design is also rewriting contemporary history exclusively for owners of this vehicle, with a timepiece that pays special tribute to Porsche history.

    07 DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS.

    Just like the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition, the new Timepiece also references the historic instrument cluster of the Porsche 356. The dial is designed in the style of the old speedometer with a white second hand and green rings in the original phosphorescent green of the tachometer. The hour indices are displayed in the typical Porsche font and shine even in the dark thanks to luminescent Super-Luminova. The PD Icon is gold-colored – just like the Porsche logo that adorns the rear of the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition.

    08 TIME TRAVEL. TO THE PRECISE SECOND.

    Timeless. Or ahead of its time. The Chronograph 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition combines both. Within the titanium case sits the heart of the watch, the Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.100, which guarantees maximum precision with its COSC certification.

     

    The strap is reminiscent of the new edition – made with genuine Porsche vehicle leather, it is supplied in two lengths each in the car’s interior colors of Bordeaux Red and black. Another detail is the "911" embossing on the leather strap, which leaves no doubt as to the chronograph’s inspiration – the Porsche 911, the iconic sports car par excellence.

    09 AND THE ROTOR? A ROTOR THAT WRITES ITS OWN HISTORY.

    The rotor is based on the legendary Fuchs rim designed for the first Porsche 911. It is available in a choice of black (high gloss) or platinum (silk gloss) – in line with the vehicle configuration – and is therefore not only a technical highlight, but also a visual one. The historic Crest in the center of the rotor also pays tribute to the roots of the Porsche brand. The same applies to the limited edition number, which corresponds to that of the car and is engraved by laser on the rear of the case.
