GP ICE RACE
The engraving “GP Ice Race” highlight the exclusive character of the timepiece.
In 1972, Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche founded his own company, Porsche Design. The goal was to create technology- inspired products beyond the Automotive field but with the same standards of form and function he had developed in his work as Chief Designer of the family firm. Be it a race car, a dream sports car such as the Porsche 911, or a wristwatch, Prof. F. A. Porsche always thought one step ahead of the curve, testing the limits of what is technically feasible and driving forward development.
The desire to innovate is evident in all Porsche Design products to this day. But is perhaps most obvious in its timepieces. Because Porsche Design watches are not just first-class timepieces. They are also high-precision tools and the epitome of innovation. They represent the perfect harmony between form and function, combined with the art of Swiss watchmaking.
